During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," mentioned in a public message.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were striving to repair systems.
